Robert Whittaker Crushed Darren Till in Stand-Up War!

The long-waiting middleweight fight between Robert Whittaker and Darren Till took place last weekend. Previously, the promotion has scheduled this clash for Dublin, Ireland. However, due to the ongoing crisis, it moved to the UAE. Without a doubt, the result of this clash would affect their chance of getting a title shot. For Whittaker, this was his first time in the cage since his defeat against Israel Adesanya, which resulted in him losing his belt.

On the other hand, his rival came to the fight after beating Kelvin Gastelum. A win for him will probably earn him a chance to fight the winner of Adesanya vs. Paulo Costa. However, it looked like victory has chosen another name. This time, Whittaker has shown impressive performance, which put him over the highly technical Till. They both some shining moments during the match, but The Reaper stole the spotlight this time.

This clash was filled with intense from the beginning till the end. This time, Darren Till chose to walk out in silence instead of doing his usual ‘Sweet Caroline.’ When Till tried to come forward, Whittaker was quick to counter him. The Ozzie burst forward, Till successfully dropped him with a perfectly timed elbow move. As a result, he could get his range for the rest of the round while his opponent dazed. Whittaker got his quit back in the second round. ‘Bobby Knuckles’ managed to drop Till and then done more damage on him. While Till tried his best to neutralize his hands, he took a lot of shots on the ground. The former champ also caught his opponent’s leg with some wicked calf kicks. Both fighters landed strikes in the fourth match. At the final round, Whittaker won with a unanimous decision.
