Nate Diaz’s next fight could be at 170lbs!

So far, the younger Diaz brother has been calling out for many names in the lightweight contenders. Furthermore, he was also dropping hints left and right, even sharing on social media that he is now at the welterweight division. On the other hand, Diaz has thrown shades at the UFC 257’s main event fighters before. As a result, many people have expected that he would be moving back to his previous division: lightweight. However, it seems like Diaz is staying where he’s at.

Meanwhile, there is still no announcement of his next rival. Previously, Nate Diaz has only fought for the title once against Benson Henderson, but he eventually fell short. He archived most of his success during his time at the lightweight division. Notably, one of his significant victories was when he fought Conor McGregor, making him a popular name among the sport casual fans.

Ironically, Diaz shocked us when sharing a tweet saying that he doesn’t care about the weight class. He then sends a call out to Dustin Poirier, but the UFC hasn’t revealed any further information on this potential clash. It has been quite a long time since we have seen Nate in the cage. His last match was a BMF fight against Jorge Masvidal. The UFC President had claimed that this fight would remain a one-time thing only. Meanwhile, Masvidal just lost to Kamaru Usman in their recent clash. Additionally, he also shows an interest in having a rematch with Diaz.

Current situation

While Diaz isn’t active, his fan base is still doing quite well compared to his peers. Up until now, he has become a household name with his big brother. Both have been reportedly looking for a chance to return to the cage.
