UFC Boston: Rodriguez vs. Stephens 2 booked!

Just a few days ago, we witnessed the controversial fight between Rodriguez and Stephens. To put it shortly, the fight ended after Rodriguez caught Jeremy Stephens with an inadvertent eye poke just 15 seconds into the opening round. As a result, he was unable to continue to match, making its a ‘no contest’. After that, a video surfaced online, showing Stephens confronted his rival about a rematch, which might lead to a bit of violence between both parties.

Up until now, the latter has been actively requesting a rematch through various interviews. Meanwhile, Rodriguez initially expressed his understanding of Stephens’ injury. However, he also raised the question of whether the injury was serious enough to justify a stoppage during the fight. He even claimed that Stephens’ action is him ‘seeking the easy way out’. He later stated that he would apologize if he was proven wrong.

Today, it looks like Stephens finally got his wish. Today, insiders have confirmed that their rescheduled match was booked, thanks to a report from UFC broadcast partner ESPN.com. Moreover, they requested anonymity because the news hasn’t been announced officially for the press. Rodriguez and Stephens are set to fight again at UFC Boston, taking place next month. Notably, this match is going to serve as the co-main event. Let’s find out when and where!
