Antonio McKee: Age is just a number!!

In case you didn’t know, Antonio McKee finally made his return to the ring last September. The 49-year-old is the father of fellow Bellator fighter AJ McKee. At his father’s match, the young McKee was waiting at his corner on the night. After that, he went on to fight a match on his own. Without a doubt, they are the first father-and-son duo to fight and win on a major MMA promotion’s card in the US.

While we don’t know why Antonio McKee wanted to risk his health by going back to the ring, he has shown every that age is just a number. He elder McKee had managed to beat some old can in his comeback fight. In details, he went against 47-year-old Williams Sriyapai on the main card of Bellator 228 in Inglewood, California. Furthermore, the fight ended after two rounds, with McKee taking down Syriapai.

On the other hand, his son AJ now looks like one of the most deadly featherweights on the planet. Previously, he destroyed Georgi Karakhanyan in just 8 seconds to secure his place in Bellator’s Featherweight Grand Prix. For your information, it was the second-fastest finish in Bellator history. ”I want my motherf*king belt,” the younger fighter stated after the fight. “Winner-winner, chicken dinner, Let’s go! I want my belt, but I don’t think he’s going for that. Duck and dodge – I think it’s coming sooner than later.”

What will happen next?

Moving at this pace, it won’t be long until AJ McKee gets his wish. He seems to be a tough opponent for the ring in his advancement to the quarter-finals of the tournament. In conclusion, the father-and-son duo is a force to be reckoned with in the competitive these days!
