Dana White Reacted to Nick Diaz’s Potential Comeback!

Without a doubt, Nick Diaz has rattled the MMA world in more ways than you thought. According to many sources, Diablo is now back in shape and getting ready to return to the cage soon. However, others didn’t seem to be convinced that Diaz will be coming back. One of them is UFC President Dana White. Up until now, White had a problematic relationship with both Nick and Nate Diaz.

The Diaz brothers were in numerous contract disputes with the promotion during their professional careers. On the other hand, White stated that everyone shouldn’t get their hopes up about Diaz. The last time he stepped into the cage was five years ago, going against Anderson Silva. Besides, it’s been nine years since Diaz’s last MMA victory. In short, White claimed that we shouldn’t trust Diaz.

The promotion has continuously tried to bring him back since his suspension expired in 2016. Nevertheless, both sides couldn’t agree on anything. The UFC president shared after the Dana White Contender Series that they would see what happens. He claimed: “The Nick Diaz thing: First of all, we would’ve never released that or done that. We’ll see how this thing plays out. I don’t have any expectations, whatsoever. We’ll see what happens. Yeah, there’s been talking. But there’s been talking for years.”

Exciting rivals

Now we have Stephen Thompson staking his claim for a clash against the elder Diaz brother. The Kenpo Karate practitioner is probably one of the most well-liked names on the roster. He shared recently: “If I were to be honest, if he ever comes back, Nick Diaz would be a really good fight, an interesting fight, for sure… That’s a guy who has been in the game a long time; he’s a veteran, he’s fought some really good guys. I love the Diaz brothers. Their whole demeanor, their attitude, that’s just who they are. They’re not faking anything about it; you’ve got to respect that. So at first I was like, and I still kind of am, I just don’t believe it. But I want to put my name out there if he was willing to come back.”
