HOT: Dana White Confirmed Nate Diaz Return!

Nate Diaz might be a forgettable one among all of those names reaching the top trending page last year. Those who remember probably know that he fought twice in 2019. One of which was a comeback clash against Anthony Pettis, where Diaz gained victory over the former lightweight champion. After that, he called Jorge Masvidal out for a match, and they met in the cage for the BMF title.

Although Diaz claimed that he was dominating the fight while his rival slowed down, he suffered a severe defeat. In the end, Masvidal came out with the BMF title, while Diaz remained a draw. Whatever happened, the California fighter is still a cult hero among UFC fans since his victory over Conor McGregor. Now, president Dana White shared that the younger Diaz would no doubt fight again soon.

Both Diaz brothers have been in the public’s consciousness for a while. Their no-nonsense, never-say-die attitudes have made them very popular. One of the most famous cases was the Stockton slap, where they literally slapped their opponents with their palm across the face. When asked about Diaz’s return, White stated: “Oh, definitely. Definitely. I think Nate will fight (in the UFC) again.”

What’s next?

As we said above, Diaz is still a draw after his loss in the BMF title fight. As a result, he could be looking at a rematch with Masvidal. On the other hand, there were also words going around mentioning about a trilogy clash with McGregor. As the two now stand at 1-1, could this fight come true? While others like Mike Perry want to get Diaz for a match, there is someone who isn’t impressed by his antic – Gilbert Burns. The Brazilia is now on his way to the next title shot, where his match against Kamaru Usman fell through. In short, Burns rebuked Diaz’s record: “He’s a journeyman. I think I can beat the s**t out of Nate Diaz any day of the week.”
