Conor McGregor replied to Poirier, claimed the fight is CANCELLED!

Previously, Poirier had made some controversial statements when he claimed his foundation hadn’t received McGregor’s promised donation. If you remember, the Irishman has pledged to reach out to Dustin Poirier’s The Good Fight Foundation. Furthermore, the Notorious even claimed that he’s richer than the UFC president Dana White. Now, if Poirier doesn’t lie, then that was a douchebag move.

Today, McGregor finally fought back. In detail, he announced the cancellation of the trilogy fights with Dustin Poirier. One of the primary reasons for such a decision was obviously Poirier’s public comment. He could have messaged the Irishman privately. Besides, The Notorious also claimed that the donation was meant as voluntary, not a debt to the organization.

Furthermore, he went ahead and accused Poirier of chasing the donation money rather than a title fight. There was also question raised on the Good Fight Foundation’s legitimacy. After that, Poirier was quick to give his defense. His team shared that they contact McGregor’s side many times without any response. As McGregor made the statement, he’s also feeling frustrated when there was no movement after a few months. Things get heated up when McGregor became furious. The two-title fighter stated that he would be fighting another opponent next July. Up no now, Kevin Lee already jumps in and suggests himself as the replacement.

So far, the UFC has yet to give its statement on the situation. However, judging by their previous special treatment for the Irish fighter, the ball is in his hand. On the other hand, people also question if this could be a stunt to catch their attention to the two upcoming matches, but only time will tell.
