Conor McGregor is Up to Fight BOTH Diaz Brothers!

Even if he’s been away from the cage for quite a long time, Nick Diaz remains an MMA cult hero among fans. The Stockton, California native’s last entrance was nearly five years ago, where he lost no-contest against Anderson Silva. Despite all the suspensions, he still has the support from his fans. On the other hand, the younger Diaz brother archived his big breaks thanks to a Conor McGregor-related saga.

After that, he went on to win the BMF title. According to his manager, the elder Diaz is reportedly looking to return to the cage in early 2021. While The UFC president stated that we shouldn’t get any hopes up, another bunch of fighters shows their interest. One of the most active names to call out the former Strikeforce champion was Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. Today, The Notorious has added his name to the mix.

In response to a tweet about the Diaz brother, McGregor has written: “Line them up.” So far, the Irishman has fought Nate twice. He lost in their first clash when Diaz caught him in a second-round rear-naked choke at the UFC 196 event. However, the Notorious got his revenge with a decision win at UFC 202 after. Many were looking forward to a tie-breaker between them, but McGregor moved on to bigger things. He won the lightweight title and then fought against Floyd Mayweather for his career’s biggest paycheck. Even if he claimed he has retired, everybody knows that couldn’t be true.

Possible Return

If Diaz returns to the cage, then McGregor could be the top name on his potential opponent’s list. Furthermore, as both sides have a big fandom, this clash will surely be a huge pay-per-view. On the other hand, there are also big names lining up to fight Nick, such as Jorge Masvidal. Besides, Robbie Lawlor is also waiting for a rematch against the older Diaz.
